ATU 843 is affiliated with American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO), Washington State Labor Council(WSLC), Northwest Washington Central Labor Council (NWWCLC), Northwest Conference of the ATU (NWCATU), and the ATU Legislative Council (ATULC). ATU Local 843 is an association of workers organized to maintain our rights and improve our wages, hours and working conditions. Local 843 is part of the Amalgamated Transit Union, AFL-CIO. ATU Local 843 represent most employees of Whatcom Transportation Authority. An executive board elected by our membership supervises and directs the management of the union.
